UmiDelivers
Oxford and Logistics (Pty) Ltd (2024/664241/07), trading as UmiDelivers (“UmiDelivers”, “we”, “us”, “our”), provides an online delivery platform accessible via umidelivers.com and our progressive web app. By creating an account and using our services, you agree to the following terms.
1. Services & Scope
UmiDelivers enables customers to order and receive delivery of:
Over-the-counter medicines (non-prescription only),
Baby products, and
Other health and household items listed on our platform.
Prescription medicine delivery will be introduced in partnership with licensed pharmacies in the future.
Controlled substances are strictly excluded.
We deliver using our own drivers within South Africa.
2. User Accounts
Customers must create an account to place an order.
Required registration details include: full name, ID number (where required), address, email, and phone number.
Customers are responsible for the accuracy of their information and for securing their login credentials.
Accounts may be deleted on request, but UmiDelivers is required by law to retain transaction records for up to 10 years.
3. Ordering & Payments
All payments must be made upfront via Yoco Payments.
Orders cannot be dispatched until full payment has been received.
Delivery fees are charged at a flat rate per order and are non-refundable after dispatch.
Orders may only be cancelled prior to dispatch. Once dispatched, cancellations are not permitted.
Refunds are available only in cases of:
Incorrect items,
Damaged goods, or
Expired/defective products.
Refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
4. Medicine Compliance
Prescription medicines (when available) will require a valid prescription uploaded through our platform.
Verification of prescriptions is conducted solely by our partner pharmacies. UmiDelivers does not issue or verify prescriptions.
No medical advice is provided by UmiDelivers. Customers should consult a healthcare professional for any medical concerns.
5. Delivery Terms
Standard delivery time: within 60 minutes of order confirmation (where operationally possible).
While we aim to deliver on time, delays may occur. UmiDelivers does not guarantee exact delivery times.
If a delivery cannot be completed (e.g., incorrect address, customer unavailable), we will attempt to contact the customer to reschedule or arrange a refund.
No signature or ID check is required upon delivery unless otherwise mandated by law for specific products.
6. Liability & Disclaimers
UmiDelivers is not liable for:
Delays caused by traffic, weather, or supply issues,
Stock shortages,
Reliance on third-party partners.
We expressly disclaim responsibility for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
We do not provide medical advice; customers must consult a licensed professional before using any products delivered.
7. Partner Pharmacies & Suppliers
UmiDelivers acts as a delivery platform and not as a licensed pharmacy.
All medicines supplied are the responsibility of licensed pharmacy partners.
Partner pharmacies are responsible for compliance with the Medicines and Related Substances Act, dispensing requirements, and prescription verification.
8. Force Majeure
UmiDelivers shall not be held liable for failure to deliver due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to strikes, extreme weather, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, or legal restrictions.
9. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt mediation before resorting to court proceedings.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
