Role Overview

UmiDelivers is looking for reliable delivery drivers to handle last-mile deliveries for businesses across food, laundry, alcohol, and regulated goods categories. Drivers collect items from client locations and deliver them safely and professionally to customers.

This is a flexible, delivery-based role suited to individuals who value independence and consistent earning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect items from assigned pickup locations

• Deliver items safely to the specified drop-off address

• Handle goods with care, especially perishable or regulated items

• Verify recipient details when required (e.g. ID checks)

• Update delivery status accurately via the platform

• Maintain professional conduct with clients and recipients

Earnings

• R40 per completed delivery

• Earnings scale with the number of deliveries completed

• Flexible work based on availability and demand

Requirements

• Valid South African ID or work permit

• Valid driver’s licence (Code A, B, or C depending on vehicle)

• Access to a reliable vehicle (motorbike, scooter, or car)

• Smartphone with internet access

• Ability to follow delivery instructions accurately

• Professional and respectful communication

Nice to Have

• Previous delivery or courier experience

• Familiarity with local routes and areas

• Availability during peak hours (lunch, evenings, weekends)

What This Is (and Isn’t)

• This is delivery work only — no selling or handling of payments

• Drivers are independent contractors, not employees

• Payment is per delivery, not hourly
